Low Fee Credit Cards

There’s nothing too complicated about a low fee card – it is exactly that, a credit card with little or in some cases, no ongoing annual fees. If you won’t be spending regularly or excessively on your credit card, a low fee credit card might be helpful in providing the convenience of a credit card with a low annual fee.
Low fee cards might as well be called low use credit cards as low fee credit cards tend to have higher interest rates for purchases than rewards credit cards so it is best to pay the outstanding balance in full each month if possible. If paying your balance in full each month an option for you, your other option would be a low interest rate credit card which would mean that when you don’t pay your balance, you are being charged a low rate of interest.
Low fee credit cards can also have higher rates for cash advances or include other fees you might not have anticipated upfront such as late payment fees. As with any credit product, be sure to read all the small print carefully.
Low fee credit cards with tend not to have the rewards or perks associated with many other credit cards. If you use your credit card to make travel purchases or pay for restaurant bills, a credit card with more reward opportunities (but also higher annual fees) may be more beneficial over time. Take some time to think about your spending trends before simply opting only for the credit card with the lowest fees.
